I am a licensed tour guide for the regions of Madrid, Castilla y Leon, and the province of Toledo. It was back during my history and language studies in Cologne, Clermont-Ferrand and Seville that I put my primary emphasis on Spain and its culture. I work as a free-lance, and I am a member of the Madrid association of tour guides.

I have been living in Madrid since 1987. I first guided cultural travels throughout Spain, later on, I passed the culture and language tests that are required in Spain for the license to be a visitors’ guide. I am available for walking tours, city tours by bus or museum visits in English, French, German and Spanish. If required, I can also help to organize bus transportation. I do tours for Individual or group travelers, business partners and embassy guests, congress participants, family and friends.

During a walk or panoramic sightseeing tour through Madrid, we will unlock the answers to all of these questions: When and where Madrid was born? What is the meaning of the city’s name? Why is the square near the Royal Palace called “Oriental Square” if it lies in the west? And do you know “malicious houses”?
