The Jewish presence in Rio de Janeiro began when the first Portuguese came to Rio in 1500. Since then, Israeli immigration has become constant, following the example in many cities in the world. I have selected the main attractions of the Jewish tradition to see in Rio de Janeiro.

The tour starts with a visit to the Yitzhak Rabin Park. It is a Holocaust memorial place, named after the ex-president of Israel. The viewpoint "Mirante de Pasmado" is stunning from the top of the hill. Here you can see the Botafogo beach and Sugar Loaf.

After, we move downtown to visit the Big Temple and the Jewish Museum. We can visit different synagogues like the Shel Gmelut Hassidim, Beth El, Brazilian Israeli Club where you can have a kosher snack if you want.
